Career Advancement and Professional Development Workshop

KIDNEYcon 2019 will feature a new workshop addressing professional navigation skills, focused on the needs of fellows and junior faculty.  The Career Advancement and Professional Development Workshop is sponsored by Women in Nephrology.

What do I want to do in my career? How do I achieve my professional goals? For both private practice and academic nephrologists, this workshop aims to provide practical tips on negotiation, work-life balance, advocating for yourself, identifying mentors and sponsors, establishing a national reputation, planning for promotion and tenure, and establishing a research program. Discover the skills you need to become a leader in your practice, your institution, and the field of nephrology.

The course will be directed by Drs. Manisha Singh of UAMS, Michelle Rheault from the University of Minnesota, Silvi Shah from the University of Cincinnati, and Lisa Curtis from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
